About Us: Amy Yin has been sketching floor plans since she was six. She was a financial services executive, when her father suffered a life-altering stroke. Amy moved back to her hometown to help with his care. During daily visits to the rehabilitation hospital, she witnessed how a person’s environment could be a source of frustration and danger, and how well-designed spaces could improve a person’s safety, comfort, sense of dignity, and even outlook on life. This life experience inspired her to enroll at Parsons School of Design and make the leap to a new career in interior design. Today, the creative team at Amy Yin Interiors has been recognized with national design awards. The studio’s work has been published on book covers and featured online, on television, and in print with local and national magazines. Amy Yin Interiors is proud to have donated over $100,000 to local nonprofits because great design can improve lives and communities.
